Symptoms of depression and anxiety are assessed with Hopkins symptom checklist 25 (HSCL-25) and the degree of self-control is measured with Ego undercontrol scale 13 (EUC-13), in a group of patients with an eating disorder, pre treatment. The results are presented in four groups with different levels of self-control, based on the standard deviation from the sample EUC-13 mean score (n = 227): highly overcontrolled (n = 32), overcontrolled (n = 101), undercontrolled (n = 68), and highly undercontrolled (n = 26)
